On July 5th, Prof Matthew Evans, dean of Faculty of Science, the University of Hong Kong and his delegation visited College of Life Sciences (CLS), Zhejiang University. CLS heads and related teachers hosted the reception.

        Firstly, on behalf of CLS, YU Luyang, deputy dean of CLS, extended a warm welcome to the guests from the University of Hong Kong. He also gave a brief introduction to the CLS. Prof Matthew introduced the situation of the University of Hong Kong and the Faculty of Science. He was looking forward to establishing close cooperation with CLS on both research and education. Prof Zhengxiao Guo, Executive Director of Zhejiang Institute of Research and Innovation of HKU, gave a short introduction to the establishing and development of the institute, and discussed the cooperation pattern with Zhejiang University in the field of fundamental research and achievement transformation.

        After the meeting, Prof CHEN Caiyong, assistant of the dean led the guests to visit the Liver Development and Disease Laboratory of CLS. Dr Rajan, Assistant Dean and Dr Bayden Russell, Associate Director of The Swire Institute of Marine Science at the University of Hong Kong proposed the cooperation intention on the relevant area in the future.
