Since the foundation of Biology Department in 1929, Zhejiang University has accumulated a large group of notable scholars in the life sciences. With the almost 90 years of development, it has cultivated 18 academician as distinguished biologists, including Shizhang BEI, Jiazhen TAN, Huanming YANG, Yuxian ZHU and so on. More than 8000 students has been graduated from here and become excellent talents in every field home and abroad.
