On May 20^th, College of Life Sciences (CLS) held an appointment ceremony of Equipment and Technology Service Platform (ETSP). Prof. YAN Qingfeng was appointed Director of ETSP, and CHEN Hanmin was appointed Deputy Director. All members of ETSP faculty and the CLS administration were present.

During the ceremony, Prof. PENG Jinrong, Dean of CLS, expressed his prospects towards the development of ETSP, providing a platform to train, learn, and communicate for the teachers and students. Prof. YAN Qingfeng, the new director of ETSP, outlined five different aspects of the platform’s future plans, including service, efficiency, publicity, safety, and career development of laboratory personnel.

Founded in 2006, CLS’s Equipment and Technology Service Platform was one of the earliest college-level platforms established in ZJU. It has since provided a wide range of technical services for scientific research institutes. In recent years, thanks to the “Double First-Class Initiative”, CLS has purchased High-Content Imaging Analysis System (PE), Flow Cytometer Sorter, Focused Ultrasonicator DNA Shearing, Nucleofector system, Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope, Leica TCS SP8 STED 3X and other new equipment. By upgrading its equipment, ETSP hopes to continue providing high-quality services to both teachers and students.
