The State Conservation Center for Gene Resources of Endangered Wildlife is established in November, 2009, approved by the Ministry of Education. It works together with the Key Laboratory of Conservation Genetics and Reproductive Biology for Endangered Wildlife of Education Ministry.

        It has completed the gene database of almost 50 endangered wildlife including the panda, crested ibis, south-Chinese tiger, Tibetan antelope and so on.
